Meet Billy
July 10, 2012
Yes, I'm swimming alone
Billy was my friend for an evening. He would fly away and come back, fly away and come back. All I had to do was stick my hand out and he'd come back and hang out with me. I ate, drank wine, and swam with him on my hand. I moved him from finger to finger and told him to go away when I was tired. Billy was a great friend.
Moments like that make you marvel at nature. It's so bizarre that a nearly untouchable creature picks you to become its companion.. almost as if its trying to tell you a secret.

Greenpeace, Radiohead & Jude Law
July 09, 2012
A noble effort by Radiohead and Jude Law, but I can't help but roll my eyes at Greenpeace efforts that are supported by major celebrities because said celebrities don't bother to do their research on the history of the organization. I have no right to judge as the organization is doing a lot more than I am, but I can't help but wonder if people know that there are other, more noble and gung-ho groups that could use their support.

A Few Things
July 06, 2012
Taken by Beth
Since the weather has warmed up, Evan has been having a hard time getting a cab because a lot of cabby's think he wants to go to Brooklyn (for very obvious reasons). I honestly didn't understand why lit cabs were flying past him and he says it's because they think he's going to Williamsburg (when he actually lives in the East Village). One time, we were on the Upper West Side around 11pm and I, very literally, saw a cab slow down to get him then swerve away and speed off because they got a closer look at his arms.
I'm very amused by this because it's the only instance where a good-looking white man will understand prejudice. Being a white man is the most privileged skin to live in, no matter what time you live in and no matter how diverse your community is. I can't help but laugh when I see this happen because he gets really frustrated by it. But there is nothing he can do because it's the way he is and the way he'll look forever.
Now, in the summer, I have to hail the cabs.

Sunblock
July 05, 2012
Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen SPF 40
One of the most important parts of taking care of your face is sunblock/sunscreen. I spend most of the sunny day in an office but when I'm out in the sun for extended periods of time, I always use Clarins' Day Screen. This tiny bottle lasts forever because you only need a teeny bit to cover your face. It isn't greasy and goes on thin and smells really great, the way fancy sunscreen should. On the day-to-day, I always use Clinique's SPF 20 Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer under my regular moisturizer and matte lotions etc.
Thank goodness for my mother always hounding me to take care of my skin because I've developed these OCD habits of sunblock and face wash and moisturizer and creams. I don't want to look like this when I get older.

Chad is a very dear friend of mine who I never see. I can confidently say that he has traveled more than anyone I know, tenfold. Luckily, he'll be planting some roots near me and I am so looking forward to spending some quality time with him.
Please, follow him on every social networking outlet there is.
