Like Resort, I don't feel that some of these shows are very couture. Chanel seemed like an overemphasis of Spring 2011 (sans the pastels) and although I loved every single piece in Valentino, it doesn't feel couture. Givenchy is what couture means to me: A few pieces of intricately built pieces that make you want to take a closer look. Valli was good (for me) because it was a flashback-couture show, which I can appreciate.
