Wednesday's agenda included Dim Sum for lunch, taking leftover sesame balls to Karen at MOCA, walking through the anniversary show with the Dude, running into a New Yorker from school (small world!), and taking The Dude to an amazing spot downtown.
After the shred sesh was a trip to Jet Rag for over-priced vintage tops and then ELF! Karen and I have been dying to go for months and I've wanted to take the Dude there for dinner since the summer.
Braised portabello mushroom with risoticelli and garlic mashed potatoes AND grilled golden tomatoes. Vegetable tagine with quinoa. And for me! Roasted beets and braised fennel with a port wine reduction. We started with a yummy oyster mushroom spiced concoction with a blue cheese sauce and ended with an apple tart drizzled in lavendar oil. Even the cucumber water is delicious. Elf is one of my favorites.
