Flooded McDonald's

Flooded McDonald's from Superflex on Vimeo.

Superflex is a Danish collective of three dudes. The 20 minute film is on view at the Hirschorn until November 28th.

I don't know what I think about this. It's a beautiful film, but is it supposed to be tragic? As in "there-goes-capitalist-excess"? A flooding McDonald's. I mean, it's so simple yet insanely complex.. to the point where I don't know what my opinion is... borderline not having one because my mind is blown. It's funny, for sure.. but I imagine Katrina and the like and the tragedy of it all. And the potential loss of McDonald's is not tragic. But I also imagine it as a look into the future--the end of capitalism. A desolate American way-of-life that was its own downfall in culture and health.
