Swan Lake

July 06, 2011

Beau and I had a serious date night on Saturday: Sushi and the ballet. And not just any ballet. We saw Swan Lake at the Met by the ABT. It was a special night because Polina Semionova was Odette. I would've loved to see Julie Kent dance, but I guess the Russian's are supposed to be better, right?

I don't know too much about what's happening in the ballet world, but when I saw that Sascha Radetsky was the Sorcerer for the evening my heart dropped. Seeing principal dancers in real life makes Going to the ballet worth every cent.

This is how my conversations went on Friday:
"What're you doing for the 4th of July?"
"Not much. Got a hotel room in Soho with a pool that I want to sit by. Going to the ballet. Relaxing."
"Oh.. so grown up."

AKA BORING.
